The Tailgate AirHub II Low is Vango's first rear attachment awning. Compact and quick to pitch, it remains a popular choice for campervans and small motorhomes with rear doors, suited to couples or solo travellers who want additional shelter and extra living space for short breaks or spontaneous getaways.
Sentinel Active 150D fabric gives the Tailgate AirHub II Low a reliable waterproofing while keeping the overall awning lightweight. ColourLok Eco technology helps the fabric retain its colour and last longer, even with regular use.
As a touring awning, it's built to withstand the demands of holiday trips rather than long-term static pitching. The linked-in groundsheet can be removed to be cleaned, for easier maintenance, and steel pegs are included as standard for a secure pitch even on tougher terrain.
With a decade of development into Vango's AirBeam system, it remains one of the simplest pole-free pitching methods available, helped further by its all-in-one inflation through a single valve. The included AirBeam pump makes inflation straightforward every time. Pre-angled beams improve both internal headroom and wind resistance thanks to their curved design.
For those who want to leave their awning behind for the day, will find the roll-away connecting tunnel particularly useful, the same as other drive away awnings. It detaches and rolls back neatly, securing with toggles so you can drive off, leaving the Airhub II freestanding and without leaving it open to the elements.
A tunnel adjustment strap tidies away excess material for a tighter vehicle connection, and two doors within the tunnel give you the option to access either the rear or side doors of your vehicle without needing to pass through the awning interior itself.
Flat, easy access doors make entry more accessible for prams, wheelchairs, and anyone with reduced mobility, while a mesh front door with an internal fly screen aids with the airflow, keeping pests out of your living space.
Surrounded by Diamond Clear windows, gives a bright, open feel, as well as an excellent view of the area you’re pitched at. Toggled privacy curtains let you switch between an open, airy space and a more private, cosy one when you need.
